The Largest Gathering of OM Patients & Caregivers in the World

OMF's flagship Eye Am Not Alone (EANA) Patient Retreat is moving west!

In partnership with Stanford and Dr. Prithvi Mruthmunjaya, the 7th annual retreat will combine broad scientific updates from uveal melanoma experts with a unique opportunity to network with and learn from fellow OM community members.

The EANA retreat is the largest gathering of ocular melanoma patients and caregivers in the world and, as in year's past, is free for all attendees. With the backing of generous sponsors such as Castle Biosciences, all costs of the meeting, including your meals/snacks, the event space, A/V, printed materials and overhead for support staff, are covered. You can, however, help us offset these event costs by choosing to pay for your ticket -- at your discretion -- and by making an additional donation to OMF when you register. Every dollar you give allows us to cover travel and lodging costs for other patients to attend who may otherwise not be able to and this year OMF intends to pay for anyone with evidence of financial hardship to travel to and participate in the Retreat via our TAG program.

Retreat Agenda

As in year's past, the agenda balances Science, Social and Support, the 3 pillars of the EANA Retreat. Stay tuned for a draft agenda.

If you have any specific feedback or requests for the agenda (including recommendations for speakers) drop us a line at EANA@ocularmelanoma.org.

Travel Assistance Grants

OMF is once again opening up its Travel Assistance Grant (TAG) program to provide funds for Retreat attendees evidencing financial hardship.

If you and your caregiver feel that attending this Retreat would be worthwhile from a medical and/or personal perspective but feel that paying for travel to and from Cleveland and lodging, OMF can work with you. We have alternative lodging options and for those with marked financial hardship including limited or full loss of income, disability or other personal constraints making attendance difficult, OMF will be offering cash grants through the TAG program.  These grants are made possible by the generosity both of OMF donors in the past and those Retreat attendees choosing to pay their own way this year.

For more information, please email TAG@ocularmelanoma.org and reference the EANA Retreat. The application process is similar but not as involved as the typical TAG grant application process.
