In Memory of Cary Thomas

December 2, 1966 - December 13, 2018

After a good fight with uveal melanoma, Cary passed away quietly on the evening of December 13, 2018. He was surrounded by those who loved and cared for him very much.

Even though his life was cut short by this terrible disease, he is leaving behind his legacy of care and respect for others. As a nurse, Cary daily showed love and compassion to those he served; always with a humbleness that displayed his true generosity.
He will be missed by his colleagues, by his family, by his friends, and by someone who loved him in a deep and special way. Cary - you are now pain free and resting. We all are thankful for the life you graciously shared with us.

Poem: Remember Me
Don't remember me with sadness;
Don't remember me with tears;
Remember all the laughter we've shared throughout the years.
Now I am content that my life was worthwhile, knowing that I passed along the way, I made someone smile.
When you are walking down the street and you've got me on your mind, I am walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
So please don't be unhappy just because I am out of sight.
Remember that I am with you each morning, noon and night.

In lieu of flowers or other items, donations can be made in his honor to the Ocular Melanoma Foundation.
