In Memory of Christopher Gedo

Christopher Gedo, retired commander (USN), engineer, Pandora captain, captain of his wife Norma’s heart, loving son, father, and brother died on May 15, 2017.

Chris was diagnosed with ocular melanoma in the summer of 2013. Over the next couple years, his routine scans came back clear. However, in January of 2017 they did not. After two rounds of Yervoy and Opdivo, his liver was greatly affected and his condition worsened. He was surrounded by family and great love when he passed.

Besides his love for his family, Chris’ heart harbored a strong love for sailing.  In his sparse, spare time, he took pride in restoring his Tartan 34, a classic wooden sailboat he fondly named Pandora (after his wife’s alter ego). He loved the ocean which is as vast as his brilliance and kindness and as infinite as his love for his family.
